I have two brahma chicks and they are a month ld and barely even have wings...they are not growing ....they one frizzle brother and he is much bigger than them....why..m.my friend has 3 week old brahma and they are huge

I would make sure that you are keeping them warm enough in their brooder, giving them 20% protein chicken starter grower feed, plenty of clean water, and I would use a vitamin/probiotic (such as the one below carried at many farm stores) in their water every other day. Make sure they are not showing signs of coccidiosis (letheragry, puffing up, poor appetite, ruffled feathers and diarrhea.) Corid or amprollium would treat cocci. Can you describe how they are kept?

answer please

I haven't seen coccidiosis with my own broody-raised chicks that are on the ground from day 1, but they could still get it. It would be impossible to check their stools for diarrhea or blood though. Genetics can play a part in how they grow. I have suggested what I would do to maximize their growth, but they could have been weak chicks to start with. In large groups of chicks, there will frequently be a smaller one, who doesn't develop as fast or as well, or could be sickly. Could they be bantams?
