Hey! We just got our first chicks 2 days ago. They are about 1.5 weeks old. 2 Buff Orpington and 1 SL Wyandotte. We just prepped the backyard today and are starting the coop build next weekend. My husband and I have 1 dog and 2 girls who are already in love with our new babies.

We love to camp, hike, kayak, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, and hang out with our friends and enjoy a good beer (or 3 )

We're hoping 1 of our BO chicks isn't a roo, as we can technically have them here, but I know my neighbors wouldn't be too excited about it. Hopefully one day we'll have a real farm and some land. We hope to learn a lot here and will probably ask a ridiculous amount of questions

Welcome to BYC! Congrats on the Peeps! :jumpy:jumpy:jumpy

As for the questions, ask away! Most poultry people like having a reason to talk about poultry. :D ... I don't even know how the experts do it... I am still an amateur in so many areas... but already, my family can't get me to stop talking about chickens...
I had to erect a chicken website... so I can talk about chickens all I want, while sparing my poor family from lectures on poultry. :p
