    I am brand new to the chicken game! When the hens lay eggs, can you clean and eat the eggs immediately or is there a curing period. I hope that I don't sound incredibly dumb! Any help will be appreciated!

    Clean and eat. Just as a note, fresh eggs are harder to peel if you hard boil them, but nothing beats a fresh egg.

    Yes you can. The sooner you eat it the better, fresh eggs are awesome... Just don't let them catch you stealing their eggs (;

    No, you don't sound dumb at all. There's nothing to it really, just boil the egg or cook it, peel, and eat!

    Treat them just like you would if they came out of the carton.

    When you say clean do you mean its poopy? Unless the egg is dirty you can just put it straight in the fridge.

    Even the experts asked questions when they started.
