Breakfast for a egg

If I find a egg in the nesting boxes when I let my girls out in the morning, I like to think of this:

"A trade, I give them breakfast, they give me a egg!"

LOL! Well, its winter right now. I have six pullets (almost hens) that lay about 4 a day average during the summer. I usually get one or maybe two in the winter. I don't use a light in my coop, by the way.

I don't use light in my coop either. I have 8 pullets/hens and allare still laying so far. My RSL have laid every day since January, I'm wondering when they'll take a break!

It snowed a bit on Tuesday and they were outside just hanging around not even caring. Snow doesn't stick around where I live though.

Pullets and young hens often don’t take a break. At about two or three yrs they will.
