I have a year old hen that I am having trouble breaking of her broodiness. I am going to try the broody box next but I have a concern. The temps are below freezing at night. Will it harm the hen to be in the broody box, obviously away from the others? Just concerned about her freezing. I know her body temps need to be lowered and the cold may help. What do y'all think??

If she is dry and draft free she will be fine, it's the same as if she sat on the roosts at night.

That makes sense. I wasn't sure since they all huddle together on the roost.

Some do sit next to each other and some don't, chickens are little hot pockets, she will be okay, most break in three days, others can take up to five, depending on how long they were broody.
