Congrats! I just absolutely love the Breda Fowl :)
Shamrock Farms definitely has some nice looking Bredas! I just recently ordered some Breda chicks from Waltz Ark and looking into getting some Mottled chicks from Rare Feathers Ranch and thinking about getting some hatching eggs from the Dutch Connection.

I am definitely going to have to check those guys out!

yes they are beautiful and unique yea iv heard of rare feathers ranch too and Dutch connection personally I think Dutch connection has better birds than rare feathers ranch before I bought my Breda fowl last year I almost got them from rare feathers ranch but I didn't like the way the feathering on their feet was I was actually planning on buying some mottled Breda myself this year idk if you know this or not but if u buy a mottled rooster you can breed it to your normal black Breda hens and you'll get mottled that's probably what I'm gonna do is buy just one mottled Breda that's half grown from somewhere this year and breed it to my black hens

Mottled is recessive, it must be in both parents to show in the offspring. Cuckoo is different, it is partially dominant and will show in all chicks if your roo is correct (homozygous for barring).
Unless your black Breda hens are carrying (heterozygous for) mottled, none of their chicks will be mottled. Their chicks will carry the mottled gene however, and you can get mottled in the F2 generation.

I don't want you to me disappointed that your mottle roo produces all non-mottled offspring.

. Yeah i plan on doing a color not many people have it was a project shamrock farms was working on before he quit selling Breda fowl he was working on chocolate colored Breda and it will take me three years or a little more with all the genes and right genetics I'll need to get a full colored chocolate one
