Just bought a 4-5 week old chick (estimated age) - seller said it was a speckled sussex. When googling images of sussex chicks, they have light colored legs. Not sure if that is one of the factors of differentiating the breeds. Just wanted to know your opinion on what you think the breed might be? Also, I know it is very early to tell the gender of the chick, but any guesses and why? Thanks! I appreciate it! New to owning backyard chickens!

    Definitely not a Speckled Sussex...

My best guess is either Golden Campine or some kinda mutt. [IMG]
