around 4 months i old i think. it would be great if someone could identify the breed and gender of these two chickens. Really hoping that at least one is a hen. I had two others(also around the same age) that had darker brown feathers compared to the left chicken and had started crowing. had to give those two away. i had 5 others before these 4 and unfortunately they all turned out to be roosters as well.(though they were the only ones left at the market, maybe the knew) terrible luck really. probably going to straight out buy some hens instead of unsexed chicks.

I'm no expert, but id say the one of the left of the first pic is a boy. Pointed hackle feathers and saddle feathers suggest this. The other looks like a bit more girly, but the hackle feathers are throwing me off a bit. Others with greater expertise will post at some point, i am sure.

I would say you have two cockerels. Left is definitely a cockerel, right is making me think cockerel but the rounded feathers are a bit odd. I'm thinking he may be showing saddle and wing bow feathers same as the other but he isn't leaking any red; white saddle feathers are hard to distinguish, even in person.

haha guess i have terrible luck with getting a hen from unsexed chicks. 5 from a market and 4 from a pet store. was really hoping for at least one hen from the pet store since there were about 50 together in a brooder. cant keep roosters because of the crowing :(
