Breed and gender?

    So this teenager came from an assortment of eggs for my kinder class. Being I live in the country I took this roo/hen home as I can have a rooster. Not sure about it's breed or gender as I have only had RIR. Maybe speckled Sussex? Thank you for any answers on this 6 week old mystery machine.

    I do believe you have a Speckled Sussex, not sure on gender though.
