Breed and Gender?

4 week old chicks. Thoughts on boys vs girls? Breed? The first 3 photos are bird #1. Next 2 photos are bird #2.

Where did you get them? First looks like a cockerel and second a pullet to me

Hmm it’s hard to tell at this age, they are questionable right now. They both look a bit cockerel-ish though You can’t tell for sure at 4 weeks but post again in 2 weeks and we’ll be able to tell.

They came from a girl my husband knows. I didn’t see the adult birds.

After looking at the pics for a bit longer I notice that the first one has bright red waddles starting to grow. That definitely means cockerel, the other one is still a “wait and see”

Hi, could someone help me with what breed these might be? All I know is my Son decided to surprise me on Mothers Day with theses cuties , lol.

I'm seeing what looks like the first two are definitely cockerels and the last one I'm leaning towards being one too, and for breeds Australorp or Jersey Giant (check bottoms of feet, white=Australorp, yellow= Jersey Giant) Dominique, and Sumatra.

For breed they might be Sapphire Rocks. The green legs are throwing me off
