Hi, I know this is a long shot but I'm hoping someone can give me a clue as to what might be in my cross breed chicks? They're roughly 8 weeks old and all I was told by the breeder was they're 'cross breeds' (very helpful, I know!) They all have feathered feet and 4 toes if that helps at all!
Sorry they aren't better quality pics!

    ...yup, no idea.

Poster below with Silkie makes so much sense now.

I have no idea what they are but it does look like there's some silkie in there somewhere. They're adorable! I want some!

I'm assuming these 2 are cockerels but confirmation would be nice one way or the other :)

Any ideas what the silkie was crossed with? And also if they are pullets or cockerels?
    Thanks in advance!

One and two looks like pullets to me, and three and four are looking like little roos. All of them are adorable! The first two look like silke/wyandotte, the other two I just don't know.

My thought is silkie/cochin mix, maybe even a silkie/cochin parent and a cochin parent--something where the silkie is further back the tree, to lose the 5th toe and give some straight combs.

Then again, if it were that cross, they'd have heavier leg feathering. [IMG]

I do think you have 2 pullets and 2 cockerels.

Thank you, I suppose it doesn't really matter, I'm just curious ;) bit sad that 2 are cockerels though, the black one (named Elvis) is quite friendly but we already have 3 roosters so I guess these 2 will have to go :(

No doubts anymore as to whether #3 and 4 are boys - they started crowing this morning, so cute with their tiny little voices :)
