Breed? Gender? Thoughts?

These little dolls were hatched a month ago today in my Kindergarten classroom. I have fallen in love with them and decided to keep them. The eggs came from a farmer with free range ducks and I am guessing their breeds by pictures off the internet so I thought I’d come to some other duck owners for help. They were named by my Kindergartners. Tippy (the only one born on time- brown all over, looks Rouen?), Biggie Cheese (enormous yellow duckling born 4 days late but was already bigger than 4 day old Tippy, still huge, loud and generally skittish- Pekin?) and Jet (black on back with yellow chest and markings- has always been significantly smaller than the others-Cayuga/Pekin cross?) I attached current and baby pics. Tippy, who I believe to be Rouen has had a yellow (now turning white) collar around his/her neck since birth, his/her feathers are coming in a beautiful brown/black- thoughts on whether it’s a boy or girl. All 3 make different sounds so I can’t really tell by quack! Thanks for the help!

Thank you! Jet does definitely look like a black Swedish! Do you know if they are typically smaller or slower growing than the other two? He really is a tiny little thing and just starting to get feathers! The other two are mostly feathers already- he is still 90% fluff!

How do you tell the difference between a golden 300 and a Rouen? Thank you for the help! I’ve never owned ducks and I didn’t realize there were so many domestic breeds!

rouens are lighter and have a one colored beak. unless you’ve had ducks for awhile rouens, mallards, and some golden 300’s can be easily confused
