Breed/gender?

    I know that the barred rock is a roo. Do you think the brown (unknown breed) is a Roo too? Also, what are my options to do with these Roos. We aren't allowed to have them in our county unfortunately. I've grown attached to them in the month we've had them. [​IMG]

    The brown one doesn't look like a cockerel, yet. It's still pretty young though.

    Someone may take the Barred rock because it is a popular breed. But, there is such a glut of cockerels/roosters looking for homes- a lot of them will end up as someone's dinner.

    I do think the brown one looks male. As far as breed, not sure on that one.

    I'm thinking so too. Especially after I took a closer look at his wattles. They're a little redder today. [​IMG]
