Napolean was thought (by me) to be a mix... until I figured out my neighbor had a pair of Hatchery Quality Rhode Island Reds...
Could he be pure-bred?
It’s 1 day old:

And then there’s Dynamite... He hatched from a white leghorn egg that was sired by a Rhode Island Red rooster. This means he’s a sex link... right? So what’s up with the black dots??

Better pics can be provided if needed. They were hatched by me and my neighbor gave me an assortment of eggs... these two were the only Hatcher’s but they’re the joy of my life. :love

Thank you!

White Leghorns cannot be used for any color sex linked cross. White with black spots is a common coloration for white Leghorn crosses
Ohhhh okay, thank you! I always thought that any white hen bred to a red roo would produce sex links, thank you!
