Our local hardware store had chicks for the first time this year. They had some adorable blue ones so I went ahead and bought what they had of them. They're standard breed so I am hoping they're a type of layer.

Standard chicks, single comb, blue down with white wings, slate-colored legs

Sorry, but it's honestly too young to tell breed. Post again when they are fully feathered in 4-6 weeks.

Ask the hardware store what chicks they ordered, then post the list here. That will at least help narrow it down. But they are cute

All they knew was that they ordered an Assortment from Dunlap Hatchery. I checked all over their website but there were no chicks that looked like this. closest ones were BLRW but I know they're not Wyandottes.

Since they have BLRW, they could be Splash varieties of them. Looks very similar to the bantam SpashLRW I just got from a breeder today.
