    Hi

We received 4 mystery hens recently. Can anyone help me identify the breeds?

    There's Marcy:

    Lucy:

Peppermint Patty (who is laying and my guess is NHR):

And finally Chiquita who I need breed and gender for:

Chiquita is really fast so I had a hard time getting good shots of her/him! These were taken just before dusk so the colors might be a bit off. Chiquita's legs are greenish.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I agree with these guys except I am gonna say some type of production bird and not a New Hamp on the third one.

Quote:the cross breed looks like an ee/production red mix? also the bos legs look strange, not pure white and clean like my hens, are her legs infected or is she a mix as well?

Peppermint patty is definatley a red sex link, looks just like my girls. I also have one that looks just like chiquita. I don't know what they are though!

I agree with the listed, but perhaps not the NHR one - I actually think it is either a Sex-link or simple Production red - the hackle feathers and orientation/shape of comb say otherwise, but that's my thoughts. [IMG]
