Hello!! We got our first Chickies- 8 Barred Rock babies on 4/17/21. Three weeks later we received these babies from a school that hatched them 5/5/21. Any ideas regarding breed or gender???

They don't have noticeable combs yet...!Looks like they may be Columbian wyandottes. Hard to tell in photos, do they have rose combs?
But they are feisty!!!They don't have noticeable combs yet...!
They were given away as a "prize" at 3 days old- to someone who had no idea what to do with them! They called a Vet, who happens to be a friend of mine...and they came to me the next day!Looks to me like they do have rose combs, and I think Colombian Wyandottes is probably what they are. However, since they are from a school project, don't be surprised if they turn out to be mixed breeds. Really depends on where the hatching eggs came from.
That I can notice that is!They don't have noticeable combs yet...!
I hope so... I bought 8 Barred Rock chicks that were supposed to be sexed, but I'm pretty sure Grayscale is a cockerel...Look like pullets but it’s hard to see the combs
