I have a couple bantams that are most likely mixes, but I was wondering what breed would have a hair-do like a cockatiel but with more feathers. They bend backwards. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get them to pose for me.

No, def not silkies. It's more like Polish, but without so many feathers on their head...could that be what they are mixed with?

  5. Quote:Most likely Polish mixes. They could also be Silkies mixes, as not all Silkie crosses have to have fluff as opposed to normal feathering. When both of these breeds are mixed with non-crested birds, the offspring tend to have smaller crests.

I have no idea what it is but I sure see now why you compared it to a cockatiel!
