Breed of chick?

    I have several like this and I don't know the breed. Any ideas?

    A barred breed or black sexlink. I had barred rock chicks closer to Easter that looked just like that, but black sexlink chicks are almost identical.

    Where did it come from?

    The white head spot means it's barred (or cuckoo).

    Straight comb and yellow legs = barred Rock. black sex link cockerel is also a possiblity, they're colored the same. Blacks sex link pullets don't have the white spot on the top of the head.
    straight comb and white legs = cuckoo Marans
    rose comb and yellow legs = dominique
    straight comb and feathered legs = barred Cochin
