Breed recommendations for pacific northwest?

    Hello BYC!

    I am a new resident of Portland, OR! I am moving into my new place soon, which includes a chicken coop in the backyard. I would really appreciate some breed recommendations for this area/climate! It seems to get rather wet here, and my impression is that the winters are mild (40's weather). I am originally from Michigan so this is warm, spring-like weather to me!

    Everyone has their favorite breeds and ones they prefer. Generally, most chickens are well suited for most environments. You'll want to consider what works best for you. Good luck to you!
