My kids just signed up in 4H today and they would like to show a chicken but I'm having a hard time finding detailed descriptions of the breed standards (maybe I'm not looking properly). We'd just like to help guide them in picking a nice bird from what we already have. Any advice is appreciated!

What breed do you need a standard for?

My son is most interested in German Appenzeller Spitzhauben, Buff Polish, White Crested Blue Polish or Phoenix (gold).

Quote:You can find a standard for the Polish at http://www.polishbreedersclub.com/polish.htm

    Not
to sure where you would find a Standard for the Spitzhaubens because there not a APA Standardized breed

Thanks for the links. We'll probably have him pick a few polish to take in.
