What breed is this chick? I'm sure way too early to tell if it's a roo or hen.

Likely a mixed breed then.

Likely a mixed breed then.

Everything was supposed to be purebred. I didn't choose anything that was barnyard mix or Easter egger. I just forgot what all the breeds I got with so many babies. It's a feisty little thing.

Post some pics in better lighting, of it standing naturally. I'll tag a couple others that may be able to help. I've never seen a chick with that down pattern. A lot of backyard breeders don't often know what they have. So mixes are still possible.

I'll try to get one. Every time i tried to get it to stand it wanted to take off running.

As long as it's in better lighting, you can probably hold it exactly the way you did in the other pics. I know how hard it is to get chick pics haha.

And if you can tell if it's a roo or hen that would be helpful also but I know it's a little early to ask.

If it's a purebred it's a Jubilee Orpington :) OP, does this sound correct to you?
