Breed??

I got him when he was itty bitty. He changed hands 3 times before coming to me. His name is Alejandro. I was told he was a Dominique. As he grew I didnt believe he was but just cant seem to figure out what he is. I have found lots of pics that resemble him but then one thing or another doesnt match. Comb, leg color and toes etc... He has 4 toes and has a red/orange stripe down the side of his legs with yellow/black legs and toes. His crow is hoarse and rough. He has one white tail feather and one white wing feather.

I can tell you it isn't a Dominique. A Dominique would have a similar color pattern to you barred rock.

Yeah when he was about 2 or 3 months I startes researching the Dominique and realized he couldnt be one. He is 9 months now and I still cant figure out what he is.

He looks like he could possibly be a Black Copper Marans, but the comb is throwing me off.

Yeah I'm not even sure what type of comb it is. In my research he resembles a few breeds but his comb, legs & toes etc. don't match up. Lol. Is he a mix of something maybe? I'm trying to find out as my Barred Rock hen has been wanting to sit. He is as protective of the eggs as she is. Matter of fact he nips me more than she does when trying to take eggs. Lol..
