Hoping someone can identify this hens breed? These chicks in the other pic are her babies. [/IMG]
Weel if I were to take my best educated guess it would be that shes a Rhode Island Red Mix. Also, who is the chicks daddy? Because the babies look like a mix of a rhode island and something laced/pencil laced. Also it seems like you got what looks like 4-5 Roosters in that batch of chicks ^^
Looks like some kind of game or mix with game.
These are the chicks parents.
I'm not sure what the breed is, but they look to be a wheaten color. You can start to see which of the chicks are the males and females by how they are feathering out. The males will be black breasted like the rooster and the females will be the light color like the hen.
x2 that they are games of some sort
Thanks for this feedback ... But I don't quite know what the term "game" actually means! I have a mixed backyard flock of barred rock, EE, Orpington, and Cochin ... Wondering if I can add a few of these babies to the mix?
They look like game breed mixes to me. "Game" is a certain class of chicken, including breeds like American Game, Old English Game, and Modern Game.
