Breeder Pen Designs *Inspire Me*.

Discussion in 'Coop & Run - Design, Construction, & Maintenance' started by cluckcluckluke, Jan 3, 2014.

  1. I cannot find any threads filled with Breeder pen designs, tips or plans. So I have made this one in the hopes of I and others to get inspired.
I have looked on the 'Coops' page and there are no breeder style like pens or anything similar.
All are most certainly welcome, Lucas.

Im picking up some breeder condos soon from a friend.
They r great and cant wait to get them.

They are 4ft tall 2ft deep and 8ft long with dividers to make 4 breeding rooms in them. Im getting 4 of these total from my friend. They sit up on blocks which im gonna add legs instead. But they remind me of bunny hutchs. Lol
  6. Great!
Can you post some pictures of them when then arrive?
  7. It would help us to advise you if we knew what and how much of it you are planning on breeding.

Also good to know is what your desires are as to maintaining a stud book and/or how complete do you want your blood line records to be?

  8. georgeto. I am just looking for some designs and ideas for pens.
I have already got a set up ( nest sheds, roost etc ) I will just be adding 2 new breeder pens as I have decided to go into breeding White Leghorns.
