Breeding a small flock

I am going to try and start a blue flock of chickens. I have a splash rooster.He fathered some blue roosters. Would it be best to use him on his daughters or use his daughters half brothers for future matings.

Line breeding (parent to opposite gender offspring) is generally thought of as being better than sibling matings. If you're dealing with trying to bring recessive genes into a breed or line, though, you may need to breed siblings.
