Hey guys!
I have 3 hens and one rooster each of Australorp and Ameraucana's.
A total of 8 birds, right now.
I will have two separate pens outside of our main pen.
I would like to breed both breeds.
Note: I do know that I don't have enough hens, but I am just starting my flock, by next year I should have more for each rooster. Also banking on keeping the whole flock together. If I must separate, I am prepared.
How long should I separate the breeds before taking eggs to make sure there is no cross breeding?
