We keep ours in a separate coop and run. We're building a breeding pen in the run so we can separate them. Last summer we lost all the babies they raised in just few days and I'm hoping having them in their own pens will stop this from happening this time around. Since their all used to having a big coop and run will they adjust to pens and be able to breed? I'm feeling guilty at the thought of small spaces for them.

I'm thinking that a rooster will breed in a shoebox if he has to.
