So I’ve hatched out some of my flocks eggs. At the time of the hatch I had 4 light Brahma hens, A black sex link hen, an Amberlink hen, a blue copper maran hen in the same pen as a light Brahma and Amberlink cockerel. I ended up with 6 of the cutest little black chicks along with several light brahmas and some pretty Brahma mixes. The Amberlink Cock has since found his way into a soup pot. A a subsequent hatch has produced another black cutie. So with the Amberlink gone, the Brahma did the deed. Now to track down the hen. One of the 6 black chicks came from a blue copper egg. here are a few pics I will post some more tomorrow.

Too much rain today. Here is one of my 1 week olds. It’s the only Black one I got this time. I had an incident during my last hatch and the incubator was pulled from the table. Out of 41 eggs I managed to damage all but 16. Out of the 16 that I let go to hatch 8 hatched. 1 of which I had to help due to deformed toes. But here is the black one, so cute and fluffy.
