Thinking about doing some breeding both large fowl and banties, right now we have most free ranging but would like to keep the pure ones pure plus get into a few other breeds.what size pens do you use and how many males and females are together?any pictures of the breeding pens?also where do you keep the show chickens are they free ranged or do you keep them caged up? Thanks! Mike

One rooster is good for 10 or so hens(or less).Keep them in a breeding pen then free range them when you can watch them.Do not free range with other roo breeds to keep the pureness of the breed.
