    I must have some gentle roos then.. Not saying it doesn't happen most of the time.. just not here.

    its kind of pointless

    most Bobwhite/coturnix crosses fly pretty hard and grow faster than bobs... Faster turn around time on the birds from chick to sale

    It is extremely tricky to breed the birds "backwards" as in the bobwhite rooster.. as everyone knows a coturnix roo will try to mate with anything..

    I'll post pics when I get home from work in about 4 hours of my bobwhite roo in with the coturnix hens and the outcome of chicks..
    Note: this is what I done, may not work in other situations! My egg fertility for this pen has been 40% or less..

    Not disagreeing with anyone.. not trying to start a fight.. seems like enough people are already mad at me for unknown reasons [​IMG]

    Just posting what I have been able to do here.​
