    I assume the mouse tail beneath the black hen is trying to hide, [​IMG] Probably learned the hard way, that not seeing us, doesn't mean we don't see it. Unless it is another fosterling....

    Thats just a black feather. But from the angle of the picture it does look like one.
    Anyone any ideas?

    The white and brown one is a roo. 9 weeks and comb so red -- -Roo.

    My house mates let their chickens be raised outdoors, and I've noticed their outdoor chickens get much redder combs and wattles much sooner than my indoor chickens, so it's hard to say.

    The colouration at first looked like a Red or Amber Star to me, but the pea comb and poofy cheeks look more Ameraucana - then there's those feathered feet!! And a lack of beard. I'm at a loss, but they sure are cute.

    Just below and left of the mousetail, looks like a mouse or lizard. eeeck

    I got her or him at my cousins house, it was a light green egg. These are some of the possible dads i've seen at her house there could be more that I didn't see: barred rock, ameraucana, cochins and silkies. Hope this will help [​IMG]
