Hi I am new here, although I often read through old threads for chicken info. I have 4 25-26 week old girls that I have had since they were 8 weeks. I got them from a great breeder, but he didn’t breed them specifically so he wasn’t sure what breeds they were. I know they are all bantam crossbreeds, or at least half. I have suspicions of what breeds they are, but I’m not sure. I’d love if anyone could give me ideas or confirm.

This is Ebony- She is half silkie and possibly half Wyandotte. That’s just a guess. She has a fluffy crest on her head, but it looks more like a small polish crest, it’s not very big. She has one or two tiny centimetre long feathers on her feet and only four toes. She has dark skin and meat, and has blue ears. She is around 25 weeks old, not yet laying, but I believe is close because she has started squatting. She has a little walnut comb coming up, and some tiny waddles. She weighs a bit under a kilogram, but I think she’s still growing. (Sorry about Poppy photobombing, she loves to be in photos!)

WOW! That pattern is the closest I have EVER seen! I never even considered Sebrights! Now that I think about it, she wouldn’t be so small if she was half Wyandotte! That's so cool! I always wanted a Sebright! What was that crossbreed again? Does it have any silkie in it? It’s adorable!

This is ebony when she was younger. Her pattern is quite different and undefined. Does your girl pictured above have dark skin?

Your little lady is so pretty 😍 I must be partial to those pretty marking I guess lol

They are so stinkin cute running around free range with all the big birds. I have two pullets that are Russian Orloff / Silver Sebright crosses. They look VERY similar to your birds patterns. Here are my Silkie bantam / Sebright crosses.

Keep in mind these are older photos, so I don’t have any new photos as I sold all but one of the bantam silkie sebright mixes.

The one I kept. Shes about 10ish weeks old in this photo. She does have the more white patterns coming out, but she’s still mostly black.

I will try to get some photos of the Orloff Sebright cross pullets for you. Their patterns now are spot on with your pullet. So I will strongly lean towards a Sebright daddy lol

Here is dad.

Love his face lol, while crowing. HE IS GORGEOUS! They are all SO CUTE 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰! If I get to live on a farm when I grow up I will definitely try that mix!!! This one is so pretty, she has the exact inverted pattern of Ebony!

Nope. Russian Orloff.

That’s why I’m leaning towards yours having a Sebright dad. Those patterns came out strong. Their mom is brown.

I’m positive on the parents of mine, as they’re my bosses birds and there are few options.

Is the mother of yours a full size Silkie? It looks like it.

I have no idea who the mum is, neither does the breeder, but she is definitely half silkie. I always imagined it was the mum, but it could have been the other way round.

I’ve never heard of that breed- I’ll have to look it up. So cute!
