Breeds of my bantam crossbreed pullet

Also, this is Kiwi. She is about 22 weeks old, not laying. She is tiny, about 800-900, but still growing. She is definitely half polish. (But who knows?)

I don’t know what else- from her colouring I’d guess Orpington, but it doesn’t quite add up. (She is in my profile pic). She hasn’t somebody gray tips on her back and tail, and grey underfluff. Her crest was originally tiny and pure black, but she has golden in it now.

The blue feet and gold color scream Golden Spitzhauben mix to me. Maybe buff silkie mom and Spitzhauben dad?

Silkies do have blue earlobes. Weren’t you talking about your girl though?

I was referring to your original post. I’m a bit loopy from surgery today. So I’m something doesn’t make sense, that’s why lol

My one silkie sebright cross isn’t quite old enough to have colored lobes. So we shall see!

YES! I was thinking about this breed! They look like a Hamburg with a crest. Her black spots are quite small and irregular, so it would make sense that she’s a cross. As for size, are spitzhaubens bantams? Are they small? I think Orpington are quite large, but they might have a bantam version. In the spring when I get new chicks rrom this guy I might be able to ask if he has these breeds. I think the has every breed lol!

Spitzhaubens are on the smaller side. My roo is very small compared to others.

Maybe Spitzhauben sebright? There is some one on here that did the spitz mix. Just can’t remember the name 🤔

Edited to add, I really don’t see Orpington as being either parent. Just personal opinion.

Yes, it was only the colour. I think she's too small. I never thought about Sebright for her. She isn’t really laced, she just has some black and grey spots and tips.

But... just for the sake of thinking outside the box...

This little silkie bantam sebright cross doesn’t have lacing going on. Little black one.

The sebright parent could have drown out the lacing and spots. Just a thought. I know very little about genetics and what traits will surface in chicks.
