Brewers Yeast

My mom has Alzheimer’s and tried feeding my 5-6 week old ducks. She gave them the entire bottle of Brewers Yeast instead of their food, now they been shaking and their mouths are open and they are shaking . Has she basically killed my ducks?? Help!

How are your ducklings doing this evening?
If they are still acting poorly, could you post a video of them?

The symptoms you're seeing are likely due to the result of the ducklings inhaling some of the yeast powder into their respiratory system; the body's natural response to help expel these contaminants is to sneeze/ and cough to help rid them out of the body. All I would suggest of now would be to offer plenty of head deep water and provide feed that is dust-free.
I would add a humidifier into their pen as powders can quickly desiccate the inner mucosal lining. If they are still exhibiting symptoms, and you have access to a veterinarian that can check them out, that would be a good idea as well.
