I don't do the Breyer horses but I am horse collector. I collect little one inch high horses. I have 2 pewter ones, a glass one, three iron ones, a ceramic one, a few that i don't know what it's made of but they are red, and one that was carved from ??? displayed on a three tier shelf in the hall way. Living room has all sorts of photos, and other wall hangings.

Oh yeah, I've got probably 200+. Definate plastic horse addict here. Recovering, as I haven't bought anything for myself in years and honey only bought me one for Christmas last year.
I have conga lines of Indian pony, Cigar, Running Mare, Running foal, Semi-Rearing mustang. Not complete, but quite nice just the same.

I never got into showing, none local to me. I did go to the show in Corvallis several years ago. Man, some of those customs are just works of art!

    these are mine- http://sadpanda.us/images/1218311-787D4RH.jpg
all but one is a traditional breyer, and most of them are limited editions, and one at the very end to the left isnt actualy a breyer its a extremely rare and old royal daulton red rum model; think its ceramic made with a wooden plaque/stand.
    favourite one is this- http://sadpanda.us/images/1218314-L90DXBA.jpg
its an england exclusive as its a traditional breyer model of a RDA [riding for disabled association] pony called striker, and as an RDA rider had liked the fact some of the money when buying it went to the RDA because have benefited so much from them.

the windows of mine are tripple glazed but the extra pane is further back so the breyers go in the middle, this is so am not able to damage them.
havent got anywhere else safe to keep breyers but then again have not got money for em,most of mine were presents.

have never heard of breyer shows over here, certainly not in the north west of england.
cant see any of mine ever winning;even though they look beautiful they arent custom jobs, itd just be like everyone walking in with the same thing.

I don't show them, but i'm working on a big collection I get two every year so it's slow but they are special cause most of them are horses that i've been to see at big shows.
