    hi!
I am babysitting my aunt's hen who was recently attacked by a fox, probably has Mareks, and has a runny nose. My question here is about her strangely bright red comb and waddle. It isn't usually this red, and when I put my hand near it, I can feel it emitting heat. She is very bright-eyed and bushy-tailed besides the fact that she has trouble walking. If you have any idea about what is going on with her comb or advice on Mareks and runny noses, please respond!

  2. Could you post a pic? Do you have any experience with chickens or are you just sitting? It's normal for combs to emit heat but if it's a lot that may be a concern.

I have experience; I own 5 right now. The picture doesn't really show how red her comb is. Do you think she has a fever? I feel that her comb is emitting more heat than usual.
