I have 2 6 month old buff sussex that are sisters and have never been apart. I have had them for 2 months old and have always got on very well. Last weekend I bought 2 Favorelles that are gorgeous birds but incredibly docile. When I introduced all the hens together my sussex's just dominated the Favorelles, they didn't let them near the food were piling on feathers. The most worrying thing is that the Favorelles we're not fighting back in any way. Does anyone have any tips for bringing them all together? I appreciate pecking orders must be established but I am worried that the Favorelles are just too docile. Currently the hens are in seperate runs that are adjoined so they can see each other. All the hens also sleep together but I take the Favorelles out in the morning. The main problem I foresee here is that there is no clear 'top dog' between my sussex's so they both equally bully. Any tips on how to make this easier?! Any thoughts welcome!!
