Bring barn cats into the pic.....what about my chooks?

Ok, think im going to get a couple of barn cats to help with the mouse population that seems to have exploded in the barn. My concern though is my chickens. They hang at the barn, and a few even sleep in the rafters rather then the coop. Will these cats go after em? Or will a cat think they are too big?

There is a flyer at the feed farm that has some barn cats for adoption. Figured Id start there over a shelter. As other mentioned...they might stick thier noses up at the fact Im looking for a barn cat

My "barn cats" are all strays and they leave the birds alone. Just keep an eye out for the baby chicks. The strays don't even look at the chicks as they've learned where there are little ones, there is a big nasty one close by.
