    Hi all,
    this is my first post!
I have a brinsea octagon 20 advanced with 17 egg in it.
    They will hatch March 17th.
I'm doing dry incubation since its so dry here.
It is staying from 28-32 humidity in my incubator,
Day 18 I will try to get the humidity to 70%?
I would like advice and answers.
My favorite breed is French black copper marans.
Except I'm not hatching any yet, That will be my next incubation.

    March 3, day 7 I will do a candling.
I will try to keep you posted through this hatch[IMG]

    from,
    Gabe

Hi Gabe and welcome to BYC. Anything between 65-75% is good for lockdown humidity. You will be able to see signs of development at day 7. Here's a link that on what you should expect to see, through the incubation process - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...g-candling-pics-progression-though-incubation

If you have any questions during the incubation period, the best forum to post your questions is the "Incubating and hatching eggs" forum - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-hatching-eggs

You'll also find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

G’Day from down under FBCMarans [IMG] Welcome!

As I have no experience with incubators, just hatches under a broody hen and CTKen has given you some great links, I will just wish you the best of luck with the hatch.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]

Firstly, you did not post in the wrong forum - you have given us an opportunity to welcome you, and give you some guidance as to where to find information. If you have any questions, then the incubating and hatching eggs is the best place, but if you would like to give us an update here, thats great.
