Ok, I've decided I'm going to get the new Brines Ovation 28 Adv sometime in the next couple of months prior to 2017 Spring hatch... Has anyone else here gotten this model yet or planning to? If you compare the Ovation 28 to the Oct20 Eco w/turner, the price is not that much different. The later goes for about $300 w/turner, and you can get the Ovation 28 Adv which turns, cools, digital temp and humidity for $332 w/10%off code from Retailmenot.com. I have an Oct20 Eco w/Turner that got about 5 years ago. Works great, but I need more hatchability...

I was debating the Ovation but I think I'm going to get the Octagon 20 Advance on the scratch & dent sale, plus the humidity pump while it's on sale.

I already have an Oct 20 Eco with turner which I love, but the ovation advanced has slightly larger capacity with more features for just slightly more cost. Between the 2 I'll have 52 egg capacity +/- I'm surprised I can't find any user reviews anywhere online yet. (Of the ovations)

Do you think the humidity pump is a big deal, or is it very dependent on where a person lives?

I can't really say not having had one. I know mine worked great without one. Just depends on how much time you want to spend monitoring and tweaking as needed. Ir's my understanding that with the pump, it handles it all. I needed a Hygrometer inside the incubator to monitor the humidity levels-then add water as needed to keep levels where I wanted them. Not too much work - humidity is more flexible than temps when incubating. If you went with the Oct Eco Advanced, you would have the Humidity Readout and all you would need to do is add water when needed. Would save you $100... Food for thought. Can't go wrong either way. Brinsea makes great incubators.

Bought it on the Brinsea site. There is an area to put in a promo code. There were a few codes on retail me not. I think the code I used was COOP. The 10% makes up for the $30 shipping.

    Hey there!
Forgive me, in advance, as this is my first time posting in BYC (but I've used the resources countless times, so thank you!).
I actually have the Ovation 56 EX and am on the third incubation already. I've really liked it, although there are a couple of things that have tripped me up so far (this is my first Brinsea, and by in large, I really am happy with it).
If you have any interest, I wrote a review on it here.
If you have any questions, I'm happy to help however I can (or can't, I'm definitely doing more learning from everyone here).
I hope something there helps, and everyone have a great week!
