I just purchased the ecoglow 50 for $98 + $29 shipping thru It was on sale for $109 and then I used 1840farm for another 10% off. I'm getting 30 chicks from Meyer hatchery around the 31st of October. I have been using the red 250 watt bulb but am fearful of fire or burns on my 2 and 4 year old. I told my DH and he wasn't pleased about the price but in my argument it is cheap insurance for my girls who love chicks and for our house/our the coop. I have read way too many horror stories, i don't need to add another.
