brody chickens and wire cages

    Can you put 2 or more broody chickens in a large wire cage. Like a large dog cage. To break their broodyiness

    I only know this for certain as I had to do it myself last week.

    I had one broody girl (who had already been in the cage alone for 5 days) and apparently she had a meeting with her friend overnight, who then went broody in support of her the following day!

    I only had one cage available at the time so I chocked it up on bricks and put the two of them in there. Misery loves company, lol.

    They were both broken within 2 days, which was a great result.

    Yesterday Miss Priss went broody on me so she has the box all to herself at present. For now, anyway!
