Broiler house flooring

I am building a broiler house and am debating either this nice expensive flooring http://www.farmtek.com/farm/supplie...cessories-ft1_building_flooring;pgha2215.html Or hardware cloth. I wasnt sure if it is good on their feet and if it causes breast blister. If i used hardware cloth should i get 1 or 1/2 inch? Thanks

With the tiny bit of experience I have had just this fall with meat birds I know if I ever built something it would have either a dirt floor or something I could shovel clean then hose out. Those birds create tons of poop. They have their own strange smell which also is stinky.

If you are thinking of hardware cloth as their floor I have to say I think it is far too hard on their feet. They need a good solid ground to moving around their hulking quick growing weight.

i am planning something for later this year. mine will have dirt floor for sure. better for everybody.
