    Hi everyone!
I was given some chicks that are said to be not quite 3 weeks old. They have no idea what they are (it's a long story involving a school project). When they arrived with them I immediately thought they appeared to be broilers, they are huge! Any thoughts? Thank you! 20190615_173055.jpg 20190615_211730.jpg

You are correct. They are broilers.

Thank you. That's what I was afraid of. Seems like a crappy 3rd grade project to have them hatch them and raise them! Lol

I doubt the third-graders would have carried the project though for the whole 8 week life of these birds to the usual conclusion. Looks like that is for you to follow through!

Ha yes I guess so! They didn't know what they were, they told me they were white so I assumed leghorns. Then I saw them said "uh oh" haha.
Thanks everyone! Looks like no more layers for my flock this time

Maybe time for the 3rd grade-ers to learn where chicken nuggets come from!
