So I got new batteries for my flashlight so I was candling my brown eggs..
Dumb Dumb me let one slip out of my hand and fall on another causing it to crack. [IMG]

Well I decided there was no saving it and turned it into a science lesson for my kids and my niece. I cracked opend the egg and it was actaully pretty neat!
I pulled it out of the yoke and blood and looked at it up close. I wish I had a better camera to take super up close pictures of it but I dont [IMG]
It had its wings, legs toes, EYES, and its skin looked a little scaly
The beak was really soft. It was rather interesting actually. I wont be cracking another open though

Here is a chick at 7 days development

That's amazing and sad. When I had quitters I would look. Mine were the size of pennies, and it is so weird!

The eyes look rather odd to me. They are reflective

Wow. It's amazing how far into development they are at day 7. Already a beak!
Sorry about the loss though. I think I'd be really upset with myself if I dropped one.
