Broke broody, now she’s not laying?

So I had a semi-broody chicken (sat on nest for a few hours first day, second day sat all day and tried to sleep there but I closed off the nest boxes at night. she did not go back in the box (actually she laid her egg in front of the nest boxes before I opened them early that morning).

She hasn’t laid an egg in 3 days. She has only been laying for a few weeks, and is usually an every-other day later, but once skipped 2 days before laying. So the last egg she laid was Tue early early morning. Is this normal? Should I be worried? She is acting fine, eating and running around the yard when I let them out of the run.

Just thought it was strange, and something to keep an eye on.

From my experience when you have a broody she will typically lay however many eggs she wants for her clutch. Once she lays those she will stop laying. After they are broke it’s typically taken my broodies a couple weeks before they start laying again.

Only time will tell, could be a couple days or a couple weeks, or she may go broody again.
Keeping chickens takes patience and observation.
