Broken Baby Leg!

Hello everyone, new member here looking for some advice and/or reassurance.

I have a week old chick with a broken leg confirmed by xray. The break is up high and could not be splinted because she is sooo tiny. I currently have her in a little sling thing I made to try and keep her off of it. But she keeps getting out to hobble around. Any one have any good ideas to try? Do you think she will be okay, even if the leg heals a little funky? Shes still eating and drinking fine.

If you can't put a full splint on it, are you able to maybe use two or three turns of band aid or medical tape? At a week old, she will be light enough that either one should be sturdy enough to form a splint. Or are you talking high up enough that it's into the hip/pelvis?

Wrap the leg with ace bandage and it should heal fast. You can also try wrapping it’s leg to its body but I don’t know how or where it was broke

Its right below her hip.
