A link for Egg Yolk Peritonitis:

Don't worry, I've never wormed my chickens either, and my hens are all healthy. Wormers are best used when a problem is occurring, not on a regular basis (at least in my experience, other people have other circumstances and experiences).
Ok, thankyou!
My first course of action would be to worm your flock. Then check the calcium levels in your feed , supply oyster shell or calcium barbonate on ' free take ' in a bowl in the coop. If there has been a glitch in the system you won't necessarily feel any lumps in the abdomen .

And this on calcium.

Thank you,
I'll go check the calcium levels right now but I think on the bag it says good level of calcium for laying hens but I'll check.
I have oyster shell free take in many areas in my yard for my hens to eat if they want it but I have a main spot for it near their water. I'll fill it up if it needs to be filled. Thanks again.
