Clyde started limping two days ago and I can't tell if it's his leg or ankle or if it's broken or sprained. I caught him last night to check him out - skin is not broken, he is eating and drinking good. He spends most of his time laying down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you checked the bottoms of his feet for cuts, abrasions, sores, bumblefoot? Is his leg warm to the touch?

No cuts, abrasions, sores, or bumble foot -
His leg is not any warmer than the other

That's good. If he is not showing any other symptoms then it's likely he has sprained or twisted it. There maybe some swelling that you may or may not notice. Isolate him from the rest of the flock and give him some electrolytes or Apple Cider Vinegar (2 Tbls per gal) in his water. He may like a few treats too. Let him rest and monitor how he is doing. He may have jumped and landed wrong or tripped. If it does start swelling then you may have to soak his feet in some Epsom salts to bring it down. Sprains can take a few days to a few weeks to heal depending on how bad it is.

I thought he might have landed poorly flying off the roost. Thank you for your suggestion.
